Business email writing

Business Email is not suppose to be as formal as a written business letter. Business Emails are usually short and concise. If you are writing to a stranger, a simple “Hello” is adequate. Using a greetings such as “Dear Mr paul,” is too formal.For the reason that most people when checking emails do not really have time to real long business emails, so keeping it short and simple will be the best approach to writing a
good email.

When writing to someone you know well, then its good to write as if you are speaking to the person face to face. You can use abbreviations, Use abbreviated verb forms (He’s, We’re, He’d, etc.). Since it’s a familiar person to you, a business email does not need to be formal.

Always remember to add a phone number to the signature of the email. This will give the recipient the chance to call you if necessary. It doesn’t need again to put your email address as a with the signature because the recepient can just click reply to reply to your email. When replying eliminate all the information that is not necessary. Only leave the sections of text that are related to your reply. This will
save your reader time when reading your email.
